The Silver Arowana is an iconic surface-dwelling predator from the Amazon basin, prized for its sleek, elongated body and large, metallic silver scales. Known as the "monkey fish" for its ability to leap over 2 metres out of the water to snatch prey from overhanging branches, it requires an extremely secure, weighted lid. A powerful and graceful swimmer, this species demands a very large aquarium or indoor pond with pristine water quality and a protein-rich diet.

Water parameters
