GloFish Tetra

GloFish Tetras are the fluorescent version of the Black Skirt Tetra, genetically modified to display brilliant neon colors like 'Electric Green,' 'Sunburst Orange,' and 'Starfire Red.' Like their non-modified counterparts, they are a hardy and adaptable species, though they can be semi-aggressive and are known to be fin-nippers, especially if not kept in a large enough school (6 or more). They appreciate a tank with ample swimming room and some hiding spots. An interesting fact is that these were the first GloFish species to be commercially available, paving the way for other fluorescent fish in the hobby.
