About This Species
A stunning nano fish, the Ruby Tetra displays an intense, ruby-red coloration, especially in males. They are shy and do best in a dedicated species tank or with other very small, peaceful fish and shrimp. A heavily planted tank with soft, acidic water is required to see them at their best.
