About This Species
Named for their black and white striped pattern, Convict Cichlids are notoriously aggressive, especially when breeding. They are incredibly hardy and prolific breeders, making them easy to care for but difficult to house with other fish. A species-only tank is often the best setup for these robust cichlids.
