About This Species
The Serpae Tetra has a deep red body and a prominent black comma-shaped spot behind its gill cover. While beautiful, they can be notorious fin-nippers, especially towards slow-moving or long-finned fish. Keeping them in a large school (8+) in a spacious tank can help mitigate this behavior.
