About This Species
One of the hardiest tetras, the Buenos Aires Tetra is a larger, more robust species. They are known to be fin-nippers and may eat live plants, so they should be kept with fast-swimming fish and in tanks with artificial or tough-leaved plants. Their active nature and silver body with red-tipped fins make for an engaging display.
