    Community Seller Agreement

Applies to the FishHub marketplace — listings by verified shops and community sellers. FishHub is the operator, not the seller.

This Community Seller Agreement ("Agreement") applies to individual community members who list their own items on the FishHub marketplace, operated by FishHub (Pty) Ltd (registration number pending publication). It is in addition to our Terms of Service. You must accept this Agreement the first time you create a community listing.

    1. Your role and ours

    • You are the seller. Anything you list, you sell in your own capacity. The item, its description, and the transaction are your responsibility.
    • FishHub is the marketplace operator, not the seller. We give you a place to list and be discovered, plus messaging and trust tools — nothing more.
    • FishHub does not take payment between you and the buyer, never handles or transports livestock, and never holds your goods or funds. You and the buyer arrange payment, collection, and delivery directly between yourselves.

    2. Selling as an individual (not a business)

Community selling is for hobbyists selling their own items, not for running an unregistered business. If you are trading as a business, you should apply as a verified shop and accept the Shop / Seller Agreement instead. You are responsible for your own tax and legal obligations.

    3. Your responsibilities

    • Be honest. List only items you actually own and may lawfully sell. Describe them accurately, including condition, and set a clear price.
    • Livestock. If you re-home or sell live animals, do so humanely and lawfully, arrange safe transport, and obtain any permits required. FishHub never sells or ships livestock and takes no responsibility for it.
    • Deal fairly with buyers. Communicate, honour what you agree, and resolve issues directly. Because FishHub is not the seller and is not a party to your transaction, disputes are between you and the buyer.
    • Follow the rules. Comply with our Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy. No prohibited, illegal, stolen, or misrepresented items.

    4. Trust and safety

We may offer reviews, reporting, and safety guidance (such as meeting safely and using reputable couriers). These are tools to help you; they are not a guarantee by FishHub of any buyer, seller, or transaction. We may remove listings or restrict accounts that breach this Agreement.

    5. No fees on your sales

FishHub does not take a commission on, or process payment for, community sales. Any optional paid features are shown with their price before you buy them.

    6. Liability

You are responsible for your listings, items, livestock, and conduct, and you indemnify FishHub against claims arising from them. FishHub's liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.

    7. Changes

We may update this Agreement. Material changes update the version and may require you to re-accept before creating further listings.
