Shop / Seller Agreement

This Shop / Seller Agreement ("Agreement") applies to verified shops that list their own stock on the FishHub marketplace, operated by FishHub (Pty) Ltd (registration number pending publication). It is in addition to our Terms of Service. You must accept this Agreement before your shop can publish a listing.

1. Your role and ours

• You are the seller. Every item your shop lists is sold by, supplied by, and is the sole legal responsibility of your shop.
• FishHub is the marketplace operator, not the seller. We provide discovery, search, price history, alerts, messaging and trust tools. We are never a party to your sales.
• FishHub does not take payment between you and the buyer, and does not hold, transport, or take custody of your goods or livestock. Payment, collection, courier and delivery are arranged directly between you and the buyer.

2. Your obligations as a verified shop

• Be a legitimate business. Provide accurate business and contact details for verification. Comply with all laws applicable to your business, including consumer-protection, tax, animal-welfare, and trade requirements.
• Accurate listings. Ensure titles, prices, availability, and details are truthful and kept up to date. Prices you display must include all mandatory costs as required by law.
• Honour your sales. Fulfil orders you accept, and handle your own returns, refunds, warranties, and customer service. Because you are the seller, CPA obligations to your buyers are yours, not FishHub's.
• Livestock. If you list live animals, you are responsible for their lawful sale, humane handling, and transport, and for any permits required. FishHub never sells or ships livestock.
• No prohibited or illegal items, and compliance with our Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Verification and badges

A "verified shop" badge means we performed a verification step on your business. It is a trust signal, not a guarantee by FishHub of any individual sale. We may review, suspend, or remove verification if information is inaccurate or this Agreement is breached.

4. Indexed stock

Some shop stock may be indexed from a shop's public catalogue under an opt-out model. We store facts only (such as species match, title, variant, price, availability, source URL, and timestamps) and render imagery and care content from our own catalogue. We never copy or store your images, descriptions, or HTML. You may request changes to, or opt out of, indexing at any time.

5. Fees

Shop subscriptions, boosts, and other paid features (if any) are presented with their prices and billing terms at the point of purchase. FishHub charges shops for platform features; it does not take a commission on, or process, sales between you and buyers.

6. Liability between us

Because you are the seller, you are responsible for, and indemnify FishHub against, claims arising from your listings, goods, livestock, or conduct. FishHub's liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove listings or your shop for breach of this Agreement, the Terms, or the law. You may stop selling at any time; obligations to buyers for sales already made remain yours.

8. Changes

We may update this Agreement. Material changes update the version and may require you to re-accept before continuing to publish.
