About This Species
The Magnificent Anemone is one of the most iconic, and most difficult, anemones to keep. In the wild, it is a natural host to many clownfish species, including *A. ocellaris* and *A. percula*. It requires exceptionally high lighting, intense water flow, and pristine, stable water conditions. It gets very large and has a powerful sting. This anemone is notorious for 'walking' and getting sucked into powerheads or overflows, often killing an entire tank. It should only be attempted by expert aquarists with very large, dedicated systems. Its 'magnificent' appearance, with a brightly colored column and long tentacles, is truly a sight to behold.
