Famous for its ability to spit jets of water to hunt insects above the surface, the Banded Archerfish is an active and intelligent species. They require a spacious aquarium with an open top area to encourage their natural hunting behavior and a specific gravity between 1.005 and 1.015. Keeping them in small groups is recommended to observe their social interactions.
