About This Species
Vanderbilt's Chromis is a less common but beautiful cousin to the Green-Blue Chromis. This small fish has a lovely brownish-olive body that fades to a bright yellow posterior and tail, with thin, electric-blue horizontal stripes running along its flanks. Like other chromis, it is a peaceful, shoaling fish that thrives in groups and adds a great deal of activity to the upper water column. It's a great choice for nano-reefs or larger community tanks. They are planktivores by nature, appreciating multiple small feedings of mysis shrimp, copepods, and high-quality flake or pellet food throughout the day.
