The Foxface Rabbitfish is a popular and valuable addition to many reef tanks, known for its bright yellow body and dramatic black-and-white 'fox-like' face markings. It is a fantastic herbivore, tirelessly grazing on nuisance algae, including hair algae and even *Bryopsis*. It has a peaceful temperament towards most other fish but can be shy initially, preferring a tank with plenty of rockwork for hiding. A critical fact for aquarists is that its dorsal, pelvic, and anal fins are venomous, capable of delivering a painful (though not typically dangerous) sting, so extreme care must be taken during handling.
