Blonde Naso Tang

The Blonde Naso Tang, or Lipstick Tang, is a magnificent and large species, highly prized for its unique beauty. It has a sleek, grey-to-black body, a striking yellow dorsal fin (the 'blonde' trait), and bright orange 'lipstick' lips, which are actually sharp scalpel-like spines at the base of its tail. This is a very active, open-water swimmer that requires a very large aquarium with a long, unobstructed swimming path. It is generally peaceful with other fish but will become aggressive towards other tangs. A fascinating fact is that it can change its color intensity dramatically based on mood or environment.
